Hello guys, I'm looking for a water cooling system for my new build. I need it be able to cool a core i7 925 and a GTX 285, I need it to fit in a cooler master scout case, I need it to be silent, and reasonably priced. I'm not planning on over clocking too high, so I don't need a very powerful water cooling system. This is my first time buying a water cooling system, so any help is appreciated, and remember need it to be silent.

P.S: I need help finding water blocks for the two components also, thanks again.

Then you don't need it. Modern 120mm-class heatsinks can give you plenty of overclocking headroom for Core i7 already with acceptable noise level.

A proper CPU+GPU loop costs in the range of $300-350. Case modding for radiator is required if mounting internally. Basically it takes a lot of effort for a small gain over aircooling. Pre-made solution like CoolIT's range of craps perform worse than the best aircooling.

Yeah, I'm planning on spending over $500 just for the water cooling system to run silent becuase I'm not going to buy a new computer every day, so why not build something good. The Core i7's fan noise isn't the main problem, its the GTX 285's fan, because even if the fan is running at 50%, its still loud as hell. Not to mention how hot it gets at 50% fan speed

:o Over $500 to reduce the noise level of a graphic card, surely relocating the case or buying ear plugs would be cheaper.

over $500. that's a waste of money, if you wont overclocked too high you dont really need water cooling. also water cooling required you to change the fluid after sometime and it requires maintenance.

I have a couple of custom watercooling setups I play with from time to time.

3/8 and 1/2 inch systems are the go.

Can't go past Swiftech or Asetech for parts - cheap stuff like Gigabyte and Thermaltake are rubbish.

Mix and match bits and have fun putting it together.

Helps if your a bit of a case modder.

If you have a rear or top 120mm fan on your case it is easier going to fit a decent radiator.

The i7's chuck out some heat under heavy load and a good watercooling rig should keep one of them stable and cool over 4Ghz 24/7.

Air wont cut it ...
