It arrived today from Ups and the motherboard box was not shrink wrapped or taped in any way. The box was completely open. Did I get a refurb motherboard or is this the way that all motherboards come from Newegg?
Was the CPU already inserted in the M/B? If so would explain it.
Most Motherboard boxes that I've bought are not sealed/shrinked but some have a sticker/tape you have to slit. But not all. It's not unreasonable for a shipper to verify the board is correct before packing. If you don't have a broken seal on it, I wouldn't worry about it. Was the seal on the anti-static bag inside intact? And on the CD included?

I would contact NewEgg Customer Service by either Live Chat, E-mail or Phone. Since any motherboards I ever bought from them came seal/skrinked wrap, unless you got an open box. But the Link you posted was for a Combo deal which should of been new.
Mobo boxes do not come sealed or shrink wrapped. The box is a flip open type, they are not sealed. The motherboard should come in a anti-static bag that has a sticker seal.
