Hi, I am trying to flash my 9600GT bios, I made a bootable usb stick following this guide

After booting from the USB stick I get a message
"Non system disk or disk error. Replace and press any key when ready"

Any ideas? Thanks.

You need to first format your USB Stick in FAT file system.
It needs to be a bootable disc.
And thirdly you need to configure your BIOS to boot from that particular USB Stick....

Thanks, it worked bios flashed successfully but it didn't fix my problem though, the fan on my 9600gt spins at 100% until the driver takes over. I changed the fan speed in the bios from 100 to 35 but it didn't help. Any ideas?

The Fans mentioned in the BIOS are CPU and Case fans not the GPU's Fans.
That will come to normal after sometime of use.... if it doesn't then you can always use rivatuner or msi afterburner to manage the GPU fan speeds.....

I am talking about the GPU bios, I saved the bios using GPU-z, then I used NiBiTor to edit the fan speed. After that I used a bootable flash drive to flash with nvflash.
