Hello.

I have an i7 (not installed yet, since I'm not at home near the New Computer) but I don't know what stepping it is (C0, etc), and it seems it is important to know that in order to overclock the i7.

Anyway, I wanted to know the maximum speed I can get on a i7 on a P6T Deluxe V2 with a CoolerMaster v8 and those () memories.

So if you guys could help me, I would appreciate it a lot.

Thank you very much,
Zehpavora

There isn't ever any guarantee. That having been said, I'd think that assuming it's an i7 920, you should get 3.4-3.6GHz at least, and likely a bit more.

i7 965 @ 4.2GHz (200*21), 1.384V

I don't believe I forgot to say my i7 model, i'm sorry.

Yes, it is a 920. But when you say that there is not always a guarantee, there must be at least a common factor, yes? Like a multiplier number, for example.

Thank you.

All 920s run at the same multiplier - 20x, with Turbo mode allowing for 21x and occasional 22x operation. You could set it lower if you wanted, but not higher.

Best OC to expect thats realistic, 3.6, anything higher you dont really yield any good performance jump, plus the power it takes to run the machine over 3.6 shoots through the roof, so find a guide on here to get to 3.6 given you have adequate cooling....
