hello

can i install both cards of ati firepro and 4870x2 on the same pc
and can i crossfire them


reason to be used for gaming for the radeon 4870x2 card and for graphic design for ati firepro card.

mobo: asus p5q3 deluxe
cpu: intel core 2 quad 9550
vga: sapphire radeon HD 4870x2.
RAM: ocz fatal1ty 2x2GB DDR3
PSU: ThermalTake 850w
HDD: 2x 500GB WDD 7500rpm
case : ThermalTake Armore w/25cm side fan, self modefied with 8 fans.
monitor: hp w2228h 22" widescreen
Cooling CPU: Thermal Take solution.
OS: xp32, Xp64, Vista 64.

do the fire pro need special motherboard??
and if i put radeon and fire pro cards on the same mother board ,, where i connect the monitor to ??

No the fire cards do not need a special MB just make sure you have the appropriate slot.

I would think the radeon because it's main purpose is to output graphics; were as the fire's advantage in life is is that it accelerates video processes such as rendering and encoding which would be more dependent on bus speed.

Before spending any money I would shoot a email to ati and ask them what they think of this.
