Cpu upgrade

i have an x2 4800+ am2
i was thinking of upgradeing to an intell e2220 or an x2 5400+ would the e2220 be faster then my 4800+ and faster then thre 5400+

It's pretty easy to do, i usually install the CPU then the heastsink/fan and then install the motherboard in the case. Make sure the motherboard trays standoffs are in the right place, then screw it down.

so what would be an good cpu that faster then what i have for under 100

the board suks it only goes up to the 4800+ it's a dam compaq

Is it a socket 939 motherboard ? or an AM2 ? What's the model number ?
