Hi

I hope there maybe someone who can offer alittle advice re my abit SG72.

The problem is with starting , this is veryintermittant sometime it will others it won't.

When it does start it goes through POST and password sign in OK,

thenrun perfectly for maybe one minute or ten even twenty minutes thencrash freeze shut down,.

Any ideas, is there a resolve or does my problem lie elsewhere.

Please help I am going mad not by the computer the lovely wife ( what else can I say??)

Many thanks I look forward to hearing from somebody whi can putmeout of my misery

Well rayed, have you bought the motherboard recently? If so, you should try returning it to the shop for a replacement.

Before you do that however, you may want to check if your power supply and CPU are fine; the best way to do this is borrow said components from someone else, then try it with your computer.

Abit bit the dust so I doubt you could get any warranty or support or replacement.

Your problem sounds like a bad power supply. Or it could be your hdd or ram.

Download memtest and see if you can keep it running at least 10 minutes. Most likely if it runs 10 minutes without errors, the memory is fine.

You can also run a diagnostic test on your hdd from the manufacturers website.
