The caviar blacks have a good reputation for speed. I have a 640

The 500GB black even holds it's own against the F4
I'd go with the caviar personally.

The Spinpoint F3s are faster than the Blacks. The 1TB WD Black FAEX is a tiny bit faster than a Spinpoint F3 1TB but usually costs quite a bit more and is not worth the extra money.

this is what i was thinking the samsumgs are about the same and a little bit cheaper but the
WD are more popular

The Spinpoint F3s have been the best "bang for your buck" drives for a while now.
