new build of ASUS Sabertooth X58 mobo, i7-920, 3X2 DDR3 1600, windows 7. I have OS on a 250 GB SATA 3 and am trying to setup 2x1T SATA 6Gb drives in RAID 1 (Marvell onboard utility) for data storage. RAID setup in BIOS seemed to go OK but I cannot see any drives other than C. I am new to RAID. Any help would be nice.

New disks or RAID volumes won't show up in Explorer with drive letters until they're partitioned and formatted using Disk Manager:

- Start -> Right-click "My Computer", select "Manage"

- Click "Disk Management" in the left pane

- Find your new drive in the LOWER portion of the right pane and right-click on it to create a new volume (which partitions it) and format it.

Here's a question for you... would two SATA 3G drives transfer data faster through a SATA 6G interface?
