Forum Storage : CD/DVD Writers [Solved] Can write to CD, but not to DVD-R/DVD+R on DVD recorder?

I have an Asus 18x18 DVD+-R recorder (model # DRW-1814BLT) that does not seem to want to write to DVD discs, but has no problem writing to CDs. Why is this so? The error in Windows says, "Windows encountered a problem when trying to copy this folder". Running Windows XP SP3

I appreciate anyone's help!

Systemlord...wow thats some name... I would try a different brand of dvd's and if that does not work it's time for a new drive.
