SLI Heat and Power Consumption

Hi there,
I have two 9800GTXs/GTX+ in SLi.

However, I only need it when I play games, and don't need it when I'm watching movies, word processing, ec

Is there a way to make the 2nd card idle or use less power? It's annoying since the 2nd card is running when I'm just watching a movie, and it goes from 60'C to 66'C

Or do I have to enable/disable SLi every time and reboot...cuz that would be annoying.

I heard the mobo and the card can support hybrid sli...which shuts off one GPU. Is this still available?

Is there software that came with the motherboard to utilize the hybrid feature?

The mobo install CD didn't have anything relevant....maybe it's online?
