Hello, My video card covers my last internal sata connection on a micro atx board and I want to install an on board internal storage hdd for photographic files. I do have have an esata connection on the external i/o block of the motherboard. I propose to use a esata to sata adapter cable looped back into the case to attach to a hdd and then attach a standard power cable to the hdd. I don't want to use an external dock. Does anyone know if this will work?

The real question would be Will the hdd work by using my scheme but you are right the right angle cable would be the choice but it would also have functional to be an esata to sata adapter. The esata cannot be directly attached to the hdd or am I wrong?
