this is the setup I had in mind

Samsung 750Gb SATA II 7200rpm 32Mb 2
Antec Nine Hundred Two 1
ASUS P6T Deluxe V2 (s1366 I7,X58,DDR3,3xPCIe,1394) 1
Intel Quad Core I7 920 1
Zalman CNPS9900 LED S775/754/939/940/1366/AM2/AM2+ 1
ASUS ENGTX275 896MB DDR3 2xDVI-I HDMI PCI-E 1
SAMSUNG 22x DVD-Rewriter (S223F) zwart SATA 1
MS Vista Home Premium NL 64bits (DVD) OEM 1
OCZ 6GB (3x2GB) DDR3 1333MHz / Core i7 Edition / 7-7-7-20 1
Coolermaster PSU,Real Power, 850W,4SLI,PI,Active PVC,Modulair 1

this is a setup for gaming, office, just about everything and needs to be powerful

should I switch the mobo to a rampge II gene or not ?
I'm a noob in overclocking and it has things like cpu level up and such
don't mind 2 pci-e slots cause I won't more then 2 cards or so

should I switch the coolermaster psu with a corsair tx 850 which is non-modular ?
should I switch the Zalman 9900 with a scythe mugen 2 ?

any advise is appreciated
thx

You can try windows 7 rc for free for one year. Rumor has it that best buy will sell windows 7 upgrades starting June 26th for delivery in Oct. Only problem I have with rc is with adobe reader, which sometimes causes explorer to close. For the power supply, newegg and zipzoomfly had the pc power and cooling 750w with 60 amps on a single 12v rail for under $100 after rebate recently. Pc power and cooling is a better brand than coolermaster.

Well Corsair tx850 is the non-modular. And also you will get a clean power with a single +12v rail and good for multi-graphic card setup. Don't jump over gene, p6t deluxe v2 is really nice and if possible have a look at msi eclipse sli. it is good product with overall performance and good for also multimedia and productivity and rendering too. It all has 10 sata2 ports for all your stuff. 3* pci-e x16 slots too.

stayed with the p6t deluxe v2

and also got me some ocz i7 edition ram which runs at 1333mhz with 7-7-7-20 timings
