Hey everyone,

I plan to sell my XFX 5770, I originally wanted to crossfire but I went over to my friends to check it out, it's just too loud for my taste. My number one priority is noise level, lowest possible. I am just wondering if Vapor-X/Toxic 5850 is worth it, I do plan to OC. 5870 is overkill for me because I run 1680x1200 most of the time. 6000 series sound good but I don't know about their noise level. I couldn't find much about 5850 Toxic/Vapor-X noise level or 6000 series. Any brand recommendations would be great!

Thanks in advance,

6870 is the same price as a 5850 and offers slightly higher performance in most things but also comes with new display port and 3D technology, all tests show that noise and power usage is slightly below the 58** cards too, I will be moving from my 4850 to a 6870 in the next month or two.

Hmm sounds good, I plan to buy it within a month or two as well. The only problem is I never installed aftermarket cooler before on a GPU, I can only do the simple things. That's why I was considering Vapor-X version 1) noise 2) heat , but dropping extra $. Maybe it's time for me to man up, and attempt to replace it with a aftermarket cooler.
