I am planning to give my PC a major overhaul, but I would like to keep the case and power supply. It's an Antec P150 case, which came with their Neo HE 430W PSU. Some specs on the PSU here:
I am tentatively considering a Core 2 Duo E8400 CPU and a 4870 video card, along with 4gb of DDR3 ram. I am not planning to upgrade to crossfire. What I don't want is to buy this stuff and discover that I need a new PSU for another $100+. The power calculators that I've run seem to indicate that this should work, although the video card specs say "minimum 450W" (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150394 ).
Just wondering if anyone has any confidence that this will work.
Thanks,
Daniel

If it were mine, I would give it try with the Antec 430. If the system started to randomly crash or I noticed an extrodinary amount of heat generated by the PSU when under load, I'd get the unit out of there and install something with more overall output capability.
