When i'm playing cysis. I play for about 5 to 10 minutes, and then out of nowhere my display goes out and then my computer restarts. I have a brand new system with the latest drivers.
My Specs
Quad core Q9550 2.83 gz Dark Knight cooler
ATI Radeon 4870x2
Asus P5Q3 motherboard
700 watt Xion Real power
a Nxzt Tempest case
1900x1200 res display

Can someone tell me why my computer just restarts out of nowhere when i'm playing crysis. Or ideas on how I can stop this crash from happening.

Could be the power supply, could also be bad RAM. Try taking out a stick if you're using more than one, try each stick independently. I've also seen cases where the video card had gone bad. The problem here is you really have to try other components and do trial and error, the next easiest free step would be reinstalling Windows.

Check your power cord too to see if it feels too hot to touch. I had to replace two power cords after troubleshooting symptons like yours.

Run memtest 24 hours to test the memory. Run Prime95 small fft's about 24 hours to stress test the CPU.

If those work, you are pretty much down to video card and PSU. The PSU is more likely.
