5970 Temps

Just installed my Accelero Extreme for 5970. Have registered a cool 28 degrees on both GPUS on idle with msi afterburner. What's the next step now? Would it be wise to run some more benchmarks before overclocking? Any info much appreciated.

28C idle? Sounds awesome! I'd run a couple of games and measure the temperatures, and then think about overclocking (though with that cooler, you should have plenty of headroom for OCing).

This cooler is superb. I pushed my card to 950 on the core and 1200 on the memory with all three fans running at 100% . Currently idling @ 26 degrees on stock clocks. Only problem is the power consumption. I have a feeling I'm drawing somewhere within the vicinity of 400-500 watts of juice on full throttle. It's all well and good having this toy but very expensive to run. Other than that I'm hooked. Thanks for your reply mate
