Windows cannot complete the formatting

Hello,
I am trying to reformat my usb stick because windows was saying it cant read it. now windows is saying it cant complete the formatting. its a 16gb Kingston
any ideas....

Delete the partition and try to recreate it. If it's still not formating run a chkdsk on it. If that doesn't resolve it the chip is bad.
