Assuming you are getting a single video card and do not plan on Crossfire, any of those boards/chipsets should be fine and will perform very similarly. The 785G chipset on the Gigabyte you've chosen is the newest, but the 790 chipsets are higher end. Which manufacturer to chose is up to debate. I've personally used Gigabyte and Asus, but others will swear both for and against these and other brands.

they say they can do crossfire, are they talking about crossfire the onboard CPU with any card you put in?
not just the same card you can crossfire 2similar cards as well like 4770 an 4830/4850 or 4830 an 4850 or 4850 and 4870 or 4870 with 4890 i bet there is many more frankenfire's and performance isn't hampered byt the slower card but work more on a combined average

True, but the CrossFire will be limited to the lowest card performance.
