WD Caviar Black - no raid ?

do the normal western digital caviar blacks (500,640,1TB) not support RAID ??

The only WD drives that officially support RAID are the RE (RAID Edition) drives. Your mileage may vary with non RE drives. There used to be a utility to enable the TLER (Time Limited Error Recovery) function within the drive, but I don't think this is supported anymore.
