Windows XP

I have a Compaq laptop which is running Windows 7 installed on drive C. It has another partition called recovery drive D. Can I run XP from this drive by over writing the recovery files.

  1. The D drive is to restore your computer back to factory settings if something should go wrong!
  2. you can do that, but not recommended. If you want to run XP, you can use the built in windows XP mode from windows 7.

    Caution : If you try to install windows XP on windows 7, you will loose your windows 7. Then you will have to manually fix it (using BCDedit commands.)
  3. to fix Windows BOOT list down load EasyBCD ( ) simple tool that can make your bootloader say
