Hi all!
So I currently find myself torn between upgrading my seasoned gaming machine to either a 775 or 1366 build, mainly because i'm starting to feel the cpu bottleneck. My budget is pretty flexible and shouldn't go above $600 really, but here's what I had in mind... Oh so i'd pretty much need to change the main stuffo; mobo, cpu, ram.

Current Build
-----------------
AMD Athlon X2-4800+ socket 939
Asus A8N-SLi
2gb OCZ Platinum pc3200
Western Digital Caviar Black 640GB + 1000GB
XFX Nvidia GTX 260-216 Black Edition
Tuniq Potency 650W 80plus certified PSU
Antec P182B

775 Build
-----------------
Intel Q9400 (160 @ microcenter)
Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3P (114 @ Newegg AR)
G.skill 4GB 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1066 PC2 8500 (55 @Newegg)

Roughly 330 + tax & shipping

1366 Build
-----------------
Intel i7 920 (230 @ microcenter)
MSI X58M Intel X58 mATX (170 @ Newegg)
G.Skill 6GB 240-Pin DDR3 sdram DDR3 1333 PC3 10666 (90 @ Newegg)

Roughly 490 + tax & shipping

SO! What say u all?? Recommendations on any of the components would be appreciated as well, the cheaper the better! :]

TY!!

One more...

AMD Phenom II X4 955 - $245
GIGABYTE GA-MA770T-UD3P - $80
GSkillz DDR3 1333MHz 4GB - $65
Total - $390
And it will be faster than the Q9400 and in gaming performance it will be similar to the i7 setup...

^ No i7 is not going to be discontinued...there are only possibilities that specifically the i7 920's production might be stopped because in the upcoming i5 line-up, the high-end version of i5 has nearly the same performance and expected to be around the same price of the i7 920...
intel would still be launching newer CPUs for that socket and maintain that as enthusiast product and the i5 as mainstream product...

choices choices! honestly if only the i7 mobo was cheaper, it would be a sweeet buy :( so would it be wise to buy now, regret later or just wait until the i5's come out (1156?) and make the 1366 socket cheaper? Sorry.. im pretty indecisive when it comes to the act of buying something... even after doing a butload of research I always need a greenlight from someone.. anyone! haha.
