Trfc Settings

Hello everyone,

I read through some threads but I was not able to get the information I need.

Below in my sig are my system specs and here are the specs for my RAM:

CAS_Latency:4-4-4-12
Capacity:4GB (2GB x 2)
Speed: DDR2 800 (PC2 6400)
Test_Voltage: 1.8~1.9 volts
PCB: 6 Layers
Registered/Unbuffered: Unbuffered
Error_Checking: Non-ECC
Type: 240-pin DIMM


I had to manually set my RAM timings. The default TRFC0 for DIMM1 and 2 were 127.5 ns. I set them up to 105 ns, ran some memory benchmarks, and saw no difference.

I was just wondering what TRFC is and how should I set them.

I want to know the same as I have the same set-up and another with a 5600+ Windsor.
Setting the TRFC to 195ns which I thought woul make it more stable caused errors with games like Counter-Strike!

I have working 127.5ns tRFC'ed DDR2-1066. This is with 2 modules.

I have 8gb of G skill PI Black's @ DDR2-800C with 1.744 volts and tRFC 105ns.
