Hello,

So I’ve got my new gaming systems spec’d out except the MoBo. I’m going to be putting in a Q9550 and a BFG GTX 295. I’ve heard good things about the 3 mobo’s below but I’m not 100% sure which one to get. I’ve always got ASUS before but haven’t tried a Gigabyte. I won’t be adding a 2nd video card, so I’m thinking the Asus P5Q isn’t needed.

So between the first 2 options, which one would you recommend, and can fit the giant GTX 295 easily?

Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3LR $123.73
ASUS P5Q SE ATX LGA775 DDR2 PCI-E16 3PCI SATA GBLAN Motherboard $132.30
ASUS P5Q Pro ATX LGA775 P45 DDR2 2PCI-E16 CrossFire 3PCI-E1 2PCI SATA2 Sound GBLAN eSATA $143.49

Just need recommendations on this last piece before I can pull the trigger. Thanks.

As far as I know none of the P45 boards run SLI...so yes I don't think you need a board that runs Crossfire.

GIGABYTE GA-EP45-UD3R LGA 775 Intel P45 ATX Intel Motherboard - Retail / 2 oz copper PCB + Easy Tune 6 for OC

Actually that exactly what I plan on doing. In a few years, 4-5, when I plan on upgrading I'll just have to buy a new system. I can't really do anything now that I'll be able to utilize 4-5 years from now. The processor will have to be changed with the MB, the RAM and the video card to whatever is the latest and greatest then...or close enough to.

Thanks for the help! :)
