Hey guys,

I currently have an Asrock Alive Nf6G-Vsta mobo with an athlon64 3800.

I purchased an Athlon II x2 245 today thinking it was compatible, somewhere along the line i thought i had this board which is almost spot on identical.

However, the latter board is AM3 compatible while the one i have (VSTA) isnt. Given the very close resemblance, would there be an aftermarket bios solution for this...is there ANYTHING i can do to make my new, more powerful CPU run on my mb?
