Radeon HD 3850 512 AGP...help?

i just got a radeon HD 3850 512 AGP and i am having some trouble.

i have a pentium 4 3.0 ghz (with hyper threading)
2 gb of ram
2 ide hard drive
800 meg front side bus
400 wat power supply
and a 19" widescreen lcd

but my game run slower on my new card (hd 3850). i had a nvidia geforce 7600 gt 512 agp
is it because of my power supply isn't a 450w

i have the latest drivers for hd 3850

can some one please help me.

Did you reload your OS? Vista or XP? Did you:

1. Remove all old drivers
2. Shut down computer
3. Remove old card
4. Install new card
5. Restart computer
6. Install new drivers

Failure to do this exactly as stated can sometimes result in lower performance.

Edit: Also search around online to see what people are saying about the ideal drivers for that card. It's kind of an anomoly that's not very well supported. The latest CCC (9.3) may not be the best driver version for that card.
 
You may have to reinstall windows to get it right. The newer PCIe port cards do that - mine did, at least.

Also, try giving the AA in your games a bump up. That helped ripen my 2600XT AGP.
