Does this mean that i5 can only run integrated graphics?

No. It will be the same as a motherboard with integrated graphics, it can be overridden with a discrete card.

Incorrect - Intel removed one of the memory controllers (2 instead of 3), and put a 16 lane PCi controller where the memory controller was. What it means is a (simple) i5 system doesn't need a Southbridge.
