Was stock, now I just raised the bus speed from 200 to 240 (So I could keep my ram speed at 1600) but now I'm on, my computer says my processor is still at 3.2Ghz *what it was at first) and CPU-Z says multiplier x 4 bus speed 240 total of 960 unless I'm doing something then the multiplier goes up to 16x and to core speed of 3800. Whats happening?
^+1. Without rig specs is very difficult help you.
Sorry, I'm going to save my system specs So I don't have to type it out for every question now :P Mobo: ASUS M4A88TD-V EVO/USB3 AM3 AMD 880G SATA CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition Deneb 3.2GHz (Stock Cooler but awesome case+Canada) PSU: OCZ Fatal1ty OCZ550FTY 550W ATX12V v2.2 RAM: G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600
Why do you want rise the FSB, when that CPU has unlock multiplier and you can rise it without affect the RAM speed, HT link speed and NB speed?
And yeah, in some point you will need rise the voltage for get the rig stable, just test the rig with prime95, LinX or OCCT to know if it's stable.
I can't find the multiplier anymore idk why
Btw how do I use prime95, I've tried it multiple times but I read read things pop out but it doesn't seem like it's stressing my comp
