Raised my bus speed should I raise the voltage?

Was stock, now I just raised the bus speed from 200 to 240 (So I could keep my ram speed at 1600) but now I'm on, my computer says my processor is still at 3.2Ghz *what it was at first)
and CPU-Z says multiplier x 4 bus speed 240 total of 960 unless I'm doing something then the multiplier goes up to 16x and to core speed of 3800. Whats happening?

More about raised speed raise voltage
  1. check your bios Disabled C1E (Cool n Quiet )
  2. System specs?
  3. ^+1. Without rig specs is very difficult help you.
  4. Sorry, I'm going to save my system specs So I don't have to type it out for every question now :P
CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition Deneb 3.2GHz (Stock Cooler but awesome case+Canada)
    PSU: OCZ Fatal1ty OCZ550FTY 550W ATX12V v2.2
    RAM: G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600
  5. Why do you want rise the FSB, when that CPU has unlock multiplier and you can rise it without affect the RAM speed, HT link speed and NB speed?

And yeah, in some point you will need rise the voltage for get the rig stable, just test the rig with prime95, LinX or OCCT to know if it's stable.
  6. I can't find the multiplier anymore idk why
  7. Btw how do I use prime95, I've tried it multiple times but I read read things pop out but it doesn't seem like it's stressing my comp

go BIOS.. in AI tweaker can do anything with Oc :D
  9. Check this: http://benchmarkreviews.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=569&Itemid=69&limit=1&limitstart=6 I think that in your mobo is called "CPU Ratio", change from "Auto" to x18 and u will have the CPU @ 3.6GHz

For prime95, you should see something like this: http://myego.cz/img/hw/prime95-4threads.png if you see that, the program is running fine and is stressing your CPU.
