I just built this system a few weeks ago.

Specs:

Gigabyte UD3R
XFX GTX 285 Black Edition
4gigs of ram
Xigmatek CPU Cooler
E8500 *stock for now*
Corsair 650watt psu

Core Temp says my cpu idles @ 34 celcius, and when I play games, goes to about 40 celcius.

The EasyTune6 software for my mobo, say's my cpu is running at 20 celius when it's idleing and my system temp idles @ 30celcius...

Are these good/great/ok/bad temps?

Thanks

Those temps are perfect. I idle at 30-34c and when playing games it goes up to around 40c.

Believe CoreTemp. Do not believe Easytune. I find it difficult to believe that, even at stock speeds, a processor would idle at or below room temp with air cooling.

19C is 66F. That means you must have 50F or below room temperature? You can afford internet but not a heater?

Someone sure sounds foolish, and its not the OP. :kaola:
