Hello.

I just got a new system and these people installed Western Digital cavier green 5400 rpm, 64 cache harddrive

But what i initially wanted was Samsung Spinpoint F3 which is 7200 rpm 32 cache.

Which is more important ? RPM or Cache?

I thought Higher the RPM, better it is. However, it seems like its not.

I want to hear from you guys.

Thanks,

There's more to determining drive speed than simply the RPM or the cache size. I can tell you right now, that Samsung will absolutely blow that Caviar Green out of the water for performance. The Caviar green is meant to use a very small amount of power, at the cost of performance.
