Help with decision

Im tring to run a game that requires 2.0Ghz single core im buying a new computer but need to know what is faster and better for the money they both cost the same heres what i have options 2.8 duel core or a 1.8 quad core since the game requires at least 2.0 will the 1.8ghz still work since its not 2.0ghz

I would personally go with the 2.8 GHz dual-core. Not many games make full use of quad-cores right now and unless you intend to overclock, the quad-core would be a bit slow for those applications that aren't efficient at handling multiple threads at once.

Agreed. The quad core has zero cores that run at 2.0 GHz.
