Hi.

I've got an AB9 motherboard (not sure if it's an AB9 Pro or not. I don't think so). Recently my computer's refused to boot up. With the power turned on, the red light on the motherboard still lights, and when I press the button nothing happens. Actually, a few days ago "2" then "F" was appearing on the error window, but now absolutely nothing happens.

Basically, I'm wondering if the fault is with the motherboard or with the CPU. Also, I've been having issues with my graphics card lately - an odd coincidence that both would start failing at the same time...

Anyway, I don't have a spare CPU that I can test in the motherboard and I don't have a spare motherboard that will take my CPU (Intel Core2 Duo E6400). Is there any other way I can determine where the fault is so that I know what part to replace?

My first guess would be the power supply.

Second guess would be the motherboard.

Didn't think of that. Thanks, I'll look into it.
