Recommendations for external hard drives with separate power

Call me old fashioned, but I prefer USB drives with their own power adapters. I may be wrong, but they seem to run better and be more stable.

So ... can anyone recommend a 500GB+ USB2 or USB3 external drive that has its own power adapter? I prefer a model manufactured by a major brand (Seagate, WD, etc.)

I did some online searching, but was unable to locate anything.
