Your question

Windows Explorer keeps crashing, taking Dr. Watson with it.

Last response: in Windows XP

I've started having constant Windows Explorer crashes lately. It usually happens after I have a directory window open on the desktop and then close it. Unfortunately, it often freezes Dr. Watson with it, and my PC becomes unresponsive until I enter the Task Manager and kill both instances of Dr. Watson that is showing. What sort of things affect Windows Explorer?

In addition, while i serve my browser such as chrome while maybe playing flash games, it crashed. Meanwhile for browser firefox, it lags to the maximum.

This is my Hijack log. Hope that someone can help me with it. Thank you!

Umm, all I can tell you from this is that you have an awful lot of services and processes running...

You need to provide the dump files that cause the error (the said DrWatson process is typically busy after crash creating such files, so you should probably let it finish instead of manually terminating it)

Thanks AntiZig for looking through my problem.

However for the activities i did today, i could only 'manage' to make my explorer crash without Drwatson.

Though the explorer gave me the dumps, i could not seem to copy and the text that they refer me to was crap.

The only thing i could do was to print screen bit by bit and i thought it might not be appropriate to post pictures here at all.

In this case, what should I do to get around it?

you can post pics by uploading them to website like imageshack.us and then adding the forum link to your post

"The text the dumps refer you to was crap" - I'm sorry, what?

"in this case, what should you do to get around it" - what "case", and what is "it"?

you need to start writing your posts in a cohesive and logical manner. I'm not sitting next to you, I can't see your screen, neither can I read your mind...

The help you get only depends on the quality of information YOU provide.

Alright, sorry for those unnecessary comments.

I would do so when the problem arises again.

AntiZig,

I found out posting the errors into imageshack into the thread is near to impossible.

It needs me to take about 100+ pictures to record everything down.

Is there another way around?

Try uninstalling Adobe Reader (If you have version X for sure, because I see you have 2 AcroRd32.exe processes running. One for the broker, one for the sandbox ). Their new protected mode feature seems to mess with stuff a lot.

once I looked at it again I see you do have version 10.

C:\Program Files\Adobe\Reader 10.0\Reader\AcroRd32.exe
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Reader 10.0\Reader\AcroRd32.exe

so ya uninstall that and post back results

Hi candlepower, thank you for looking in this matter.

I have tried to uninstall the reader as you recommended but after a new scan with my hijackthis, it didn't exist and my uninstall didn't reflect it either.
