I'm looking to build a box at home to be a VMWare Server box. I'm looking for a good, dependable, very inexpensive motherboard that will handle a LOT of RAM. If it's got a built in RAID solution, that would be cool too.

Does anybody have any suggestions?

Thanks.

need a budget and what you think a lot of ram is 8GB 16GB....144GB (i know a board that can handle this, its about $500), also i think the ram might be quite a bit more than the motherboard

that board doesn't really hold a lot of ram, there are consumer boards that hold more (AM2+ AM3, 16GB, or the LGA1366 with 24GB)

Budget is as cheap as possible, which effects everything else. I'm looking for probably $200 for the mobo and processor and then I'll pile on as much RAM as I can. If I can get up in the 16GB range for the memory that would be way more than enough for what I'm doing.

Thanks.
