Hi, I had the same problem of USB write protected. This happens when the firmware gets corrupted. In the flash disk, there is a section called CSD registers, which have the write protection bit set to 0 if the bit is set to 1 then write protection is enabled. Once enabled it cannot be cleared. The only way to clear is by the firmware from the manufacturer of your USB. You require to know CSD Programming to disable the write protect.
