Warhammer and hd 4870 X2

I am a complete noob and I tried to upgrade my pc so I could use a 24'' monitor with warhammer. I put in the hd 4870 x2 and the game runs, but when I go into the settings to try and change to highest settings, they never take. After I hit apply and close out then go back in, the are back at balanced.
Is there something I need to change in the card settings to allow this to happen? My old hd 4850 had no problem changed the settings.

Download the catalyst 9.4 drivers from amd and see if that helps.
