DirecTV Satellite Location question & HDTV

Question 1. There are rumors that DirecTV is about to launch a couple of
satellites to handle HDTV. This was supposed to be a couple of years out,
but because of the competition from cable they will launch earlier. Can
someone comment on this.

Question 2. If I order triple LNB from DirecTV to view what HDTV channels
that they have now will the triple LNB support the new channels that would
be available if my question 1 is correct, or will there be still another
Dish to get.
