Hi guys...newbie question ahead...

I was reading about Intel's DG45ID...and I looked deeper into its chipset...

http://www.intel.com/Products/Desktop/Chipsets/G45/G45-overview.htm

Somewhere there it says

"In addition to video, the Intel® G45 Express Chipset delivers optimized 3D graphics performance and support for Microsoft DirectX* 10, Shader Model* 4.0 and OpenGL* 2.0. These graphics enhancements deliver the performance and compatibility you need for entertaining, everyday gameplay for the most popular game titles. The Intel® G45 Express Chipset includes support for the latest PC operating systems, including Microsoft Windows Vista*."

Does it mean it enhances graphics generated by a video card? Or was it talking about the onboard video 'card'?

Thanks in advance for clarifying this...

Solution
Onboard video. Only difference in motherboard specs is pci-e 1.0 or 2.0 for separate video cards. Amd is working on having the graphics built into the cpu chip. This will reduce costs, but not necessarily improve video performance.
