Numeric keypad probs

I got a XP Computer and eventually without changing anything my numeric keypad has just stopped working. The indicator turned on or off doesnt make difference. help me fix that up

Blow the cookie crumbs out from under the num lock key. If that doesn't work, your keyboard has exercised its Darwinian right.

Buy a new one.
