Hey guys, I just read this article and am a bit confused.
http://money.cnn.com/news/newsfeed [...] F58996.htm

Does this mean that nvidia is making its own i7/i5 motherboards? Up until now we've been forced to use x58 intel motherboards in order to use sli with an i7. Is this changing? When will the firce nvidia based motherboard come out that will allow us to use an i7 with sli?

Thanks.

That article is about enabling SLI on Intel P55 motherboards. This just means that authorized motherboards using an Intel P55 chipset will be able to run official NVIDIA SLI. This was the same agreement reached that allows SLI to be run on motherboards using an Intel x58 chipset.

I do not know of any planned NVIDIA Core i5/i7 motherboards in the works, but I don't follow that information.

Why would you want an nforce board anyways? Intel chipsets run cooler, overclock farther, and are more stable in most cases than Nvidia ones.

So I can use Nvidia System Tools (formerly known as ntune) the best software out there.

I refuse to upgrade my 780i until their is a new Nvidia motherboard. Guess for now i'll just upgrade my Q6600 to a Q9650.
