What's your budget, are you in the USA, do you already have an O/S and is this rig mainly for gaming ?

You won't be able to play crysis on that rig at full settings FYI. I use a GTX 260 core 216 and I can't max crysis out on my 19" without framerates dropping to like 25fps which isn't really playable. You will need to SLI those GTS 250's in order to play crysis well.

You can get a Corsair 650tx or BFG LS-550 which would both be able to handle GTS 250's SLI'd instead of that 750w psu.

Asus P6T is a good x58 board and will sli and overclocks better than the EVGA board.

CM 690 is roomy like the Antec 900 and has excellent airflow, but just not as flashy and is cheaper.

Without further info we can't really help you any further. In addition to Why-Me's querries, do you have a monitor, and what resolution is it? What other uses besides gaming will this be used for?

In the USA, Using Beta 7 64 bit, gaming and 3d rendering (3ds max) as for money, working with about 1100, less interested in gaming, play about 2 hours a week depending on work, mainly rendering do you think a corsair 650 tx can handle my rig, 650 seems a bit weak
also i was hoping to use evga, like the company and also like helping the US economy at this point but how much a difference with the asus p6t play?
thanks alot for the help, its much appreciated

Pretty good build, except I'm not sure if the 4870 is designed to assist in 3D rendering, the GT200 processor does, so I would get a GTX 260. And yes the 650tx would be more than enough for either of those configs, your system wouldn't use more than 350W at full load even if you OC'd to like 4ghz. The 750tx allows for you to add another GPU later though, so I would go with that. If you chose the GTS 250, it only needs 1 PCIE connector and so the 650tx would be fine, but the GTX needs 2 PCIE connectors. Get the SLI version of the GA-EX58 UD3R, I don't trust MSI boards anymore, I have had bad experiences with them.

To be honest I'm not sure. A few of the reviews on there said the north bridge tends to get hot. There's this Gigabyte board down below which has good cooling and you can just switch out mobo's on that build. The MSI and this board down below will work for Crossfire (dual ATI cards), and that board at the bottom of my post up above is for SLI (dual Nvidea cards)...., and also I edited that post up above and added a SLI build to it on the bottom of that post.

I edited my "build post" up above and added an SLI version at the bottom of my post. I put the gts 250 1 gig card in that build because I wasn't sure if a gtx 260 would make his budget of $1,100. It might though. :)

Christ, they bumped the price on that cpu in just a few hours. :( Ya newegg, or...hmmm google i7 cpu oem on the google shopping thingy. But ya, they jacked that price way up from earlier today.

If you want modular then that Thermaltake Toughpower 750w you had is a good one. Although I think you should just zip tie up the extra cables in the unused HDD area...

i cant handle this haha, i just convinced myself to go non modular with the coursair haha and now you send me the thermaltake deal hahahahaha

Personally I would go with the Corsair and the zip ties. It's hard to beat Corsair for quality. That and they lump everything on a single rail which seems to work great.

Ok, this is what we have so far guys. I didn't include the vid card or psu since that's still up in the air. But at least we know how much money is left to work with for the psu and vid card. The OP has $269 left over for a psu and vid card. So I'm banking on either the Corsair or PC Power & Cooling 750w psu's and I have to say the gts 250 1 gig for the vid card if the OP is aiming for his budget. But two of those cards running in SLI would beat out two ATI 4870's Crossfired in a few of those games.

Now if we add that gts 250 1 gig down below for $160 that leaves $108 for a psu and the OP makes his intended budget of $1,100. Not to mention he has a rig that should overclock very decent. :)
