Hello,

I halfway unplugged my parallel cable from the back of my laptop, then plugged it back in, and now the resolution is wrong.

I rebooted and everything. It used to recognize my 1400x900 resolution and now it has 1400x1050 but not 1400x900. The first time i plugged it in it was just plug and play, and my resolution was available.

I'm running a dell latitude. My display adapter is listed as mobile intel 985 express chipset family. Any ideas? I can provide more info if needed.

What windows are you using XP or Vista? if its Vista than go into display settings and then avdance settings and then monitor and see if it has checked marked the Hide modes that this monitor cannot display. If thats checked just uncheck it and it should work, but it would be on a lower refresh rate, and it goes similar for XP.

Did you ever get your resolution fixed? I've got two monitors running, one digital and one analog. The analog runs at the correct 1400x900 res, but the digital monitor won't run the 1400x900, or even allow it as a choice in the advanced settings dialog.

The monitors are both Hanns-g JW199D.

Any ideas anyone? Oh, yes...this is on Windows 7 RC.

Thanks,

Rick
