Hello,
I just purchased the Corsair H70 and installed it to my current configuration. However, the H70 is making a rattling noise (like a wire is hitting the fan) or a fish tank. I was wondering if this problem was common and whether I should RMA it? I tried searching for the issue but didn't find any on Tom's Hardware. Thank you for your help!

^Agreed. Can you provide more information and isolate where the sound is occurring? It could potentially be a few things, from fan wire to fan guard, to loose mount screws, to something in the loop (metal pieces? Impeller problem?) to.....who knows.

I believe, the sound is coming from the pump, the circular thing that is connecting the radiator to the cpu. Sounds like a fish tank imo.

Yeah, might as well RMA. You should hear humming and maybe some slight gurgling, but nothing obviously noisy. Get a hold of Corsair and see what your options are...

I'll be perfectly honest; I'd never run a H50 or H70 on any gear I owned. I recommend the XPSC Rasa kits for beginners...similar price range ($130-$150 on most WC sites) and it has a better pump, block and 220 or 320 radiator...depending on which kit.

Before RMA'ing remove the rad from the case , start the system and tilt the rad in a few different directions, you may be able to stop the gurgling.

Decent idea, but it's still a sealed cooler. You could always crack it open to bleed any air or remove anything floating around in there, but that also negates your ability to RMA for a replacement.

But, worth a try.
