My motherboard will turn on for approx 1 second then turn off, and it will just repeat this over and over again. I have a Q9550 in this motherboard. I have read the stuff people have posted on here, but nothing works, that i've seen. I;ve heard my motherboard may be bad if this happens, but i want to know for sure before i send it back to newegg. Any help would be fantastic. and if your looking at the subcategory of my question, they wouldn't let me chose gigabyte.
Thanks!

These boards can "boot loop" trying to restore the last known good CMOS automatically.

Clear CMOS by using all approaches . . . pull power cord, pull CMOS battery, jumper or press button to clear CMOS, press power on switch many times . . . all in an attempt to deny CMOS any power to survive. Then wait 15 minutes :)

Put battery back in, power cord in, Boot up, enter BIOS, load optimized defaults.
