How do i set up my wireless to my laptop?

Help, I have a new laptop and i can only sit next to it!
Pointless ready, i have the Ip address and things, BUT HOW DO I DO IT!
I dont know the password. So Please Help.
Im not very techy so go slow for me,
any replay i will try so please help!!!! <

If this is your own wireless network, you need to download the manual for your router and figure out how to reset the security password. You can usually also turn off security by pressing the reset button on the rear of the router.

If this isn't your network, you don't have much chance of using it without the password -- that's what the wireless security is for !
