Hey guys,

I'm not sure if this isn't the place to post this but I've looked around and this is the only place I could find.

So my main PC that I use for gaming just suddenly stopped working last night when I got back from town. I haven't added any new hardware or changed anything. I turned my Computer off before I was going out to town and when I got back a few hours later it turned on but there was a loud, continuous beep. I've had that problem before, so I opened the tower box and re-inserted the memory sticks (I did that last time I had the beep sound and it worked). When I turned my Computer back on, it said that a new CPU had been inserted and that I should not restart or reboot the PC. I waiting for three hours and the screen just went blank, although the power was on in my tower.

Everytime I try to turn on my PC the power is on and all the fans are working, but nothing else happens. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Try swap the memory sticks around and also try one stick at time. Including trying the pair in the other set of slot.
See if it'll work.

Hey,

Thanks for the prompt reply. I tried doing that and nothing changed. The same issue persists.

I believe you are correct

In my teachers ancient computer book(not ancient but from 2003) it states that a long continuous beep is a power issue

Switch out power supplies

Hope this helps
