Okay well i'm having trouble understanding things about AMD processors and AMD MOBOs...

So i have a few questions!

1) Can an AM2+ Socket AMD Phenom IIX4 940 go into an AMD3 MOBO? becuz i heard that AMD3 was made especially for Phenom II's including 920 and 940

2) If i buy a MOBO with a built in GPU, can i always buy another GPU and disable the built in 1?

3) What if i find a MOBO that is socket AM2+ like my processor but the MOBO doesnt support Phenom IIs or Phenom X4?

1) No. CPUs desiged for AM3 can go into AM2+ motherboards, but AM2/+ CPUs cannot go into AM3 motherboards.

2) Yes.

3) Most AM2+ boards, particularly newer ones, will support the full range of PhenomII CPUs.

3) Check the latest BIOS update for the particular AM2+ mobo you're interested in for Phenom II support to be sure. Otherwise as B-Unit already said, most will support it.
