I have just recently bought a few sounds from napster and noticed that they
were protected with drm protection. After hours of trying to figure out how
to copy and play them to my sd card on my pocket Pc i finally figured out to
use the sync function in windows media 10 on my desktop. It worked great
until i update my PPC ROM to the latest version and to my surprise, windows
media 10 was installed on it. Now i can't play my dmr audio files on the PPC.
It keeps saying that my license is not valid or corrupted. I tried resyncing
through media 10 but no luck. Does it have something to do with my SD card?

Thanks
Daniel

Hi Daniel, i had this problem with my Axim. WMP10 needed to load a security
patch and it would only load if pda was docked and WMP10 was open when u
synced the music and played it. Search google groups for my solution. I dont
remember it exactly.

It's actually ok. I figured out a way around it. I just simply burned the
songs that were downloaded to a CD (in .wav format) and then i reripped them
without protection. I even was able to compress them further (which i wanted
to do before). Thanks anyway for the help

Daniel

Yeah that's usually the best solution <g> Another thing to check is if
the PC has the time set correctly, and that the Pocket PC is set to
correct it's time of day info from the desktop PC.
