set everything up everything has gone smooth, installed newest ati drivers, open ati catylyst control center

notice the x8 instead of 16?

video card is in green slot and xfire switch card is in correct possition, ive run out of ideas. can anyone help me?

cpu z link bandwith x8 max x16 ,, is this what its suppose to be?

cpu z confirms the problem, only running at x8 mode, tried diff drivers.tried putting graphics card into other slot...nothing need some help here

Is there a BIOS setting that modifies the green slot to x8 so it works in x8/x8 crossfire?

i wish there was one, all there is is this xfire switch card and i checked a million times to be sure its in the proper slot, err proper direction...........

Did you try without the XFire/SLI card?

I believe that it should be used only if you have 2 cards installed. You only have 1 video card.

good idea ill try it, but its a 2 sided card, one side for x16 one vga card settup which is default..

the other is x8,x8 for 2 cards

removed the card everything booted up, still x8 mode.. gonna try putting the card back in x8 x8 mode lol....

after taking your pacancic it didnt work but when i reinseted the xfire card it worked. i guess the default position wasnt fully inserted. thanks for the help everyone....
